As we walked along the narrow strip of sandy beach, we passed simple homes and exclusive resorts. Some of these were beautifully maintained and inviting, others were overrun with brush and foliage, the jungle taking over what had once seen better days. The beach itself was choked with seaweed. One usually thinks of a hot springs as a great stop after a day of skiing. We recently took a trip to Iron Mountain Hot Springs, Glenwood Springs, CO. Yes, it was summertime, but Debbie’s daughter and granddaughter were visiting from Florida and we wanted to check it out.
Iron Mountain Hot Springs opened in August of 2015. We came across their booth while at a travel show in Denver this past spring. Having previously visited the famous old pool at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort many times, we were excited about a new hot springs opening.
